New Nifty Fifty!

 I recently got a brand new 50mm 1.8 lens that I'm very very excited about. I love my 200mm a lot, but there's just this charm about the 50 that I can't get over--I never want to take it off my camera! Since the 50 is not a zoom lens, my feet are the zoom. This makes me really have to think about my composition a lot more. I think, in time, working with the 50mm will make me a better photographer. Enjoy some of the recent pictures I've taken!

Hearts and Handmade Things

I had the pleasure of second-shooting for a friend's gorgeous wedding this weekend. It was really like a dream...I got to sit back and photograph everyone acting naturally and really take in the beauty of the day.

There was so much happiness in the air that I was in tears only a few minutes after arriving! (Good thing I bought that waterproof mascara...)

Almost everything at the wedding was handmade--and it was really impressive! I couldn't get enough of this bouquet. :)

Graceful Garden Wedding

Wow, there's not much to say! I am extremely exhausted from yesterday's wedding but, man, is it rewarding. I could not have captured these moments without Jon. Instead of me going on and on about how much love was there, how beautiful the decorations were, and how absolutely gorgeous the lighting was, just look at the pictures! <3
